Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream the butter with both sugars until smooth using a spatula.
  3. Add in the vanilla and egg; mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Over the wet mixture, add the dry ingredients: flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Stir gently just until combined, without overmixing.
  6. Fold in the Valentine's Day M&M's and chopped Oreo pieces.
  7. Using a large cookie scoop (1/4 cup), scoop out the dough to create 10 equal cookies.
  8. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for 13 minutes. Don’t worry if they look underdone; they will firm up as they cool.
  2. Use a larger cookie cutter to reshape the cookies into a perfect round shape right after they come out.
  3. Cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
