  • 3 large eggs Bring to room temperature for easier mixing.
Decoration
  • 1 batch Frosting of choice Buttercream or fondant works well.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix it into the wet ingredients, alternating with milk.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the pans.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, frost as desired.
  4. Decorate with graduation themes to make it uniquely yours.
