Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool.
Glazing
- For the glaze, blend fresh strawberries until smooth, then mix with powdered sugar.
- Dip the cooled donuts into the strawberry glaze and let it set before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with coffee, or pair with fresh fruit or yogurt. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days.
