- Preheat the oven and grease the donut pan.
- Mix mashed strawberries, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg in a bowl.
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the donut mold, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh, ripe strawberries. If your strawberries are a bit tart, add a touch more sugar to the wet ingredients. Make sure to mix the wet and dry ingredients separately before combining to ensure a light, fluffy texture. Avoid overmixing the batter.
