Wet Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce Acts as a natural sweetener and binder.
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted Adds moisture and a hint of coconut flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until well combined.
  5. Scoop small amounts of dough and roll them into bite-sized balls.
Cooking
  1. Place the dough balls in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  2. Air fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. Mix the sweetener and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. While the churro bites are still warm, toss them in the cinnamon-sweetener mixture.

Notes

These churro bites are best served warm and can be enjoyed alongside a small bowl of Greek yogurt or fresh fruit.
