  • 1 cup Mozzarella Pearls (Bocconcini) These little bites add creaminess.
  • 1/4 cup Red Onion Thin slices provide a touch of bite.
  • 1 cup Fresh Basil Aromatic and essential for that classic flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Extra Virgin) A drizzle elevates the taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze Adds sweetness and depth.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances all the flavors.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly cracked for a little kick.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes Optional, but great for a hint of spice.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and dry all produce.
  2. Slice the English cucumber into 1/4-inch rounds.
  3. Slice the cherry tomatoes in half.
  4. Thinly slice the red onion.
  5. In a large salad bowl or serving platter, combine the cucumber rounds, halved tomatoes, red onion slices, and drained mozzarella pearls.
Assembly
  1. Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the salad.
  2. Sprinkle generously with salt, coarse black pepper, and red chili flakes (if using).
  3. Gently toss the salad to coat everything in the oil and seasonings.
  4. Tuck fresh basil leaves throughout the salad.
  5. Just before serving, drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top in a zig-zag pattern.
  6. Serve immediately for the best crunch.

Notes

For the best results, use sun-ripened cherry tomatoes and fresh basil. A good-quality extra virgin olive oil enhances flavor. Adjust the seasoning to your taste.
