  • 1/4 teaspoon Kelly green gel food coloring The gel gives a vibrant color.
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar For rolling and added sweetness.
  • 6 tablespoons powdered sugar It adds a delightful coating.

Preparation
  1. Combine the cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil in a mixing bowl.
  2. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Mix in the Kelly green gel food coloring until evenly combined.
  4. Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place granulated sugar in one bowl and powdered sugar in another.
  3. Use a tablespoon-sized scoop to portion the dough.
  4. Roll each scoop into a ball with your hands.
  5. Coat each ball in granulated sugar until fully covered.
  6. Roll in powdered sugar until completely coated.
  7. Place dough balls on the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9-12 minutes, until slightly spread and crackled on top.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream to enhance the festive theme.
