Preparation
- Heat the oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Mix in the spices (coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric powder) and salt. Stir to form a thick paste.
Cooking
- Add the chicken pieces to the pan, making sure they are all coated with the spice mixture.
- Cover and cook on low heat for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until chicken is cooked through and dry.
Serving
- Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
Notes
Serve with basmati rice, naan, or a side salad. This dish reheats well and is perfect for meal prep. Adjust spice levels to your preference. Allow resting time after cooking for better flavor.
