  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions Use chives for a milder taste.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Fresh garlic can be used for a stronger kick.

Preparation
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add oil to coat the bottom.
  3. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil, flattening them slightly.
  4. Fry until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove fritters and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve warm as an appetizer.

Notes

For the best results, grate cabbage finely. Don’t overcrowd the pan while frying. Let the batter sit for about 10 minutes before frying for enhanced flavor.
