Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a deep baking dish.
  2. Place half of the sliced potatoes evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  3. Layer half of the onions, corned beef, and cabbage over the potatoes.
  4. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, onions, corned beef, and cabbage.
  5. Whisk together beef broth, mustard, pepper, and garlic powder, then pour it over the casserole.
  6. Dot the top with butter, cover tightly with foil, and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for another 20 to 25 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender and golden on top.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving to allow the casserole to set.

Notes

For the best results, slice your potatoes and vegetables the same thickness. For a crispy top, broil it for a few minutes after baking. You can customize flavors by adding herbs like thyme or rosemary.
