  • ¾ cup cream cheese (whipped) Choose a high-quality cream cheese for the best flavor.
  • ¼ cup sour cream (or mayonnaise) Optionally use mayo for extra creaminess.
  • 2 tablespoons dill (finely chopped) Fresh dill adds vibrant flavor.

For the sandwiches
  • ½ piece English cucumber (thinly sliced) English cucumbers are less watery and have fewer seeds.
  • 8 slices sandwich bread (crusts removed) Use a soft bread for easy slicing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix the cream cheese, sour cream or mayo, chopped dill, and kosher salt in a bowl.
  2. Spread the mixture over one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer cucumber slices on half of the bread, slightly overlapping them.
  4. Top with the other bread slices, spread side down, and press gently.
  5. Trim the crusts using a serrated knife.
  6. Cut each sandwich into four small pieces, either rectangles or triangles.
  7. Arrange the sandwiches on a serving dish. Optionally, add extra dill or cucumber slices for garnish.

Notes

Serve your sandwiches with a cup of tea or fresh lemonade. They are easy to transport and can be made ahead of time. To enhance flavors, let the assembled sandwiches sit in the fridge for about 30 minutes before serving.
