Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas Choose bananas that are brown and speckled for the best flavor.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter Use unsalted butter for a balanced taste.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda This helps your bread rise nicely.
  • pinch salt Enhances the flavor of the sweetness.
  • 3/4 cup sugar Brown or white sugar works well.
  • 1 large egg, beaten This adds moisture and binds the ingredients.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For an extra layer of flavor.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Gives the bread structure.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Semi-sweet chocolate is a popular choice.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until well blended.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla; mix until combined.
  6. Gradually incorporate the flour, mixing just until combined.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

For best results, use overripe bananas. Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread tender. Let the bread cool completely before slicing to avoid crumbliness. Consider adding more chocolate chips for a richer flavor!
